Well, our biggest news this year is of course the arrival of our 4th child and second daughter, Lauren Michelle Wilkey. She was born on February 20, 2008 weighing in at 6 lbs. and 6 oz. I guess that's what happens when they're 2 weeks early. She gave us a bit of a scare throughout the pregnancy, but arrived in an unexpected hurry and she checks out perfect (I'm just a little bias). She has been such an easy baby and she really is happy all the time.
She is now 10 months old and already working on the walking thing, she takes a couple steps. She also loves to put everything in her mouth, her favorite being paper.
It's been a great year for Jack Jack as well. Back in April we decided 2 in diapers was 1 too many, so we successfully potty trained him (at 2 1/2) and for the record he has been my easiest and quickest to train so far.
Jack is the family tease and the most tender hearted boy in the world. If you even scold him he will pucker up and cry, then want to come and hug you.
Moving on to Addy, our slightly more dramatic child. This year Addy has enjoyed tap and ballet and preformed in "Sleeping Beauty" as a Petite Lilac fairy.
She started kindergarten and is Ms. Social Butterfly! She loves school, writing "her words" and creating many, many cards for those she loves.
Mom and Dad have been very busy remodeling our basement (we don't advise starting a project like that with a wife that is 9 months pregnant!). We have also been busy with our church callings in Cub Scouts, Relief Society and now with Young Men's. We are very grateful for Blain's job at Sundance as the Sales Manager for the East coast and hey the skiing perks aren't too bad either.
We're thankful for this time of year when our hearts and thoughts are turned to our Savior and his birth. We have enjoyed making Christ the focus of our Christmas and using this opportunity to be involved with our children in meaningful service to others. May God bless you all this coming year.Love.
